DESCRIPTION:Words are transformative\, and so is art! Art always has something to say.  \nJoin in our community open mic for poets\, storytellers and anyone with an expression to share. Open mic is offered in partnership with ARTSPEAKS and the BARD & Broadside’s North Central Florida Poetry Festival. Winners of the Harn’s annual art writing competition\, Words on Canvas\, will read their writings inspired by Harn works. Enjoy student MUSE-led art activities and tours across the galleries. Catch a glimpse of the new exhibition Florida in the Frame: A Century of Artists’ Reflections on the Sunshine State. \nAdmission is free and open to all with lite bites and refreshments. \nGenerous support for Art After Dark is provided by Art Bridges Foundation’s Access for All program and a private grant. \n \n  \n  \nMuseum Nights are also sponsored by UF Student Government and the Office of the Provost. \n \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:The Harn galleries are open every Thursday evening until 9 pm\, providing an opportunity to browse current exhibitions on a weekday evening.  Travel back on time with the Harn’s Highlights from the Asian Collection’s exhibition\, Excelling Nature: Materials\, Craftsmanship and Symbolism of Chinese Carvings” consisting of jades and glass works from the Neolithic period to the Ming and Qing dynasties. Intricate carvings of landscapes and animals\, as well as vessels\, demonstrate the importance of jade to China’s artistic traditions and creative imaginations. \n  \nGenerous support for Art After Dark is provided by Art Bridges Foundation’s Access for All program and a private grant.
