¡Por la Cultura! Join us for the annual celebration of Latinx’s rich contributions to culture, music, dance and art at the Harn.
Come learn and dance the salsa, bachata and merengue with the UF Gator Salsa Club. All experiences levels are invited to dance together and learn these introductory, Latin-inspired dances. Get creative with interactive art activities developed by the Harn MUSEs (Museum University Student Educators) and take a mini tour offered throughout the museum. View current exhibitions including French Moderns: Monet to Matisse, 1850 – 1950.
At 6 pm, the 21st Annual Gainesville Latino Film Festival kicks off with a screening of La Frontera (The Border, 90 minutes) by David David (Colombia). The Director will introduce the film and answer questions after the screening. Organized by the Latina Women’s League. Get your free advance ticket here.
