This Venezuelan film that tackles racism and homophobia by telling the story of 9-year-old Junior living in a poor neighborhood in Caracas. Like many Venezuelans, Junior has European, indigenous and African ancestry, which gives him thick, tightly curled hair. He becomes obsessed with straightening it. The film is organized by and a part of the Gainesville Latino Film Festival.
