The Harn galleries are open every Thursday evening until 9 pm, providing an opportunity to browse current exhibitions on a weekday evening. Travel back on time with the Harn’s Highlights from the Asian Collection’s exhibition, Excelling Nature: Materials, Craftsmanship and Symbolism of Chinese Carvings” consisting of jades and glass works from the Neolithic period to the Ming and Qing dynasties. Intricate carvings of landscapes and animals, as well as vessels, demonstrate the importance of jade to China’s artistic traditions and creative imaginations.
