Visitors will experience art and culture from the Himalayas and throughout Asia through tours and activities related to the Gateway to Himalayan Art exhibition. This is an ongoing program made possible by the generous support of UF Student Government and the Office of the Provost. Sponsored in part by the State of Florida through the Division of Arts and Culture and the National Endowment for the Arts.

Museum Nights Activities:

  • Create a beautiful paper lantern with Gainesville Chinese School
  • Discover Kpop Bop Nite with DJ Parallelz, DJ Winelights and DJ Squish.
  • Get your hands into art activities created by Museum University Student Educators (the MUSEs!) hands-on activities. Origami anyone?
  • Explore the intersection of the environment and Buddhism with Dr. Sabine Grunwald’s discussion of Radical environmentalism in nondual Buddhist traditions.  Learn about Buddhist emptiness, nonduality, and what it means to live in a world of global climate change. How radically different is the nondual Buddhist Vajrayana view from contemporary environmentalism in the West?
