The Harn galleries are open every Thursday evening until 9 pm, providing an opportunity to browse current exhibitions on a weekday evening. Delve deeper into our main exhibition hall show French Moderns: Monet to Matisse, 1850 – 1950, or make your way through all five collecting area galleries (African, Asian, modern and contemporary art, and photography). Visit the Harn Museum Store to pick up a keepsake of your visit.
From 6 – 7 pm Marni Kessler, Professor of Art History, University of Kansas, Kress Foundation Department of Art History will discuss “The Air of Modernity: Edgar Degas’ “Ironers,” Ecocritically” in connection with the French Moderns exhibition.
