Open to all UF Students, Creative Gator will create an inclusive and welcoming space with artmaking, mindfulness workshops, demonstrations and tours.  

Students, get to know your local art museum at this special event organized for you! Sessions include:

  • “Movement Practice and Self-Mapping” with Melissa Montilla, Adjunct Lecturer in the School of Theatre and Dance
  • “Sound Meditation” with Kim Holton, PhD, Associate Director for UF Mindfulness and Assistant Instructional Professor in the Department of Health Education and Behavior
  • “The Tranquility of Tea,” a traditional Japanese tea service with Akihiko Kaji, Associate Professor of Urasenke Way of Tea
  • Silkscreen t-shirts and tote bags to take home with LVR Ink, Gainesville based company, specializing in custom apparel, design, and pop-up printing

PLUS: Art Blast Tours, a Makerspace, free food and more!

Free for UF Students.  

Creative Gator is presented by the Harn Museum of Art with support from the College of the Arts Creative B Summer Program in partnership with the Office of the Provost
