Layers of Us: Portraits, Play, and Collective Storytelling
Saturday, March 29
12:00 – 4:00 pm

Attention UF Students: Limited Spots!
Join artist-in-residence, Jessica Clermont, as she hosts a half-day student workshop for Silver Linings: Celebrating the Spelman Art Collection. Clermont’s workshop will explore how we see ourselves, how others see us, and how our individual stories become a part of larger communal understandings. The event includes an interactive docent-led tour of Silver Linings, engaging discussions with fellow participants, and hands-on artmaking inspired by the exhibition and Jessica’s artistic approaches. Lunch and materials for the workshop will be provided.
Registration opens March 5th. Because of this limited opportunity, we ask that students be mindful of their spot and let us know ASAP if they are unable to make it so someone else can have their seat. Please register at register@harn.ufl.edu.
Silver Linings: Celebrating the Spelman Art Collection is organized by Spelman College Museum of Fine Art, Atlanta, Georgia. The exhibition is curated by Liz Andrews and Karen Comer Lowe with initial contributions from Anne Collins Smith.
Generous support provided by Art Bridges.
