

All ages are invited to join us for a free museum-wide Community Day focusing on Silver Linings: Celebrating the Spelman Art Collection. Visitors can explore, and celebrate the exhibition through:
- Docent-led tours
- Meeting and talking with Artist-in-Residence Jessica Clermont as she creates new work inspired by the exhibition
- Listening to the spinning tunes of D J Wax Atom
- Dancing lessons with Smooth Flava
- Enjoying free lite bites by Jerica’s Scratch Kitchen
- Silkscreening t-shirts to take home with LVR Ink
- Making and taking art activities provided by Guest Artists BLAAC (Bailey Learning and Arts Collective) and Turbado Marabou
- Grabbing a free art kit to continue your creativity at home

About the exhibition
Through 39 works by nearly 30 artists, Silver Linings: Celebrating the Spelman Art Collection uplifts the legacy of artists of African descent spanning the 20th century through the contemporary moment.
Silver Linings: Celebrating the Spelman Art Collection is organized by Spelman College Museum of Fine Art, Atlanta, Georgia. The exhibition is curated by Liz Andrews and Karen Comer Lowe with initial contributions from Anne Collins Smith.
