Communications Specialist

The Communications Specialist will assist the Director of Marketing and Public Relations with the coordination of publicity and promotions, advertising, public relations and marketing of all programs and projects of the Museum. Essential functions of this position include:

  • Responsibility for design and print production of signage, flyers, publications, exhibition banners and advertising collateral.
  • Collaborating with museum's education staff and curators to create exhibition materials and guides that are directed toward specific target audiences.
  • Coordinating, writing, editing and organizing text for marketing & PR materials, including but not limited to brochures, advertising collateral, web content and e-mail announcements.
  • Updating news, developing content and encouraging interaction on the Harn's website, social media and other electronic communication formats.
  • Assisting the marketing and PR director with coordination of publicity and promotions, advertising, public relations and marketing.
