Museum Nights
Join the Harn for Art After Dark: Museum Nights held the second Thursday of every month from 6 to 9 pm.
Museum Nights is a part of Art After Dark which extends the hours of the museum until 9 pm every Thursday. On the second Thursday of every month the Harn collaborates with UF campus and community partners to provide lively activities from 6 to 9 pm featuring hands-on experiences, speakers, performances and mini-tours throughout the museum. Unique themes are established in connection with current exhibitions. These free events are fun and diverse…a perfect social evening out. Refreshments are served on these evenings.
Programming
The Harn works with UF and Santa Fe College students through its MUSE (Museum University Student Educator) volunteer program to develop activities for each evening. MUSEs come from all majors and bring creative and dynamic energy to the museum for visitors of all ages.
Themes and subject matter of Harn exhibitions often overlap with UF and Gainesville community groups, their missions and their offerings. Interested in partnering with us for Museum Nights? Take a look at our current and upcoming exhibitions for ideas on how you might partner with the museum and reach out to Eric Segal at esegal@harn.ufl.edu for more information.
Be sure to visit the individual event pages below to read about specific offerings on each evening.
Generous support provided by Art Bridges Foundation’s Access for All program, and a private grant.
Museum Nights are also sponsored by UF Student Government and the Office of the Provost.
