What does being a MUSE mean to you?

To me, being a MUSE means being one who endeavors to bring the arts to people in Gainesville. It means considering many audiences and perspectives.

What skills have you learned in your time as a MUSE?

I’ve learned how to collaborate with others on abstract projects and how to create approachable and accessible activities for a diverse audience. I’ve also learned origami. And how to swiftly sort markers by color.

What’s your most memorable experience as a MUSE?

My most memorable experience is (somewhat) second-hand. The best part of being a MUSE is seeing how your work impacts other people. I think my favorite experience was seeing a frequent visitor of Museum Nights win the night’s raffle; he deserved it!

Do you have any advice for students interested in the MUSE program?

My advice for students interested in the MUSE program is simple: try it! Don’t be afraid to share your ideas and collaborate with others.

What’s something you like to do for fun in your free time?

I like to go for walks, watch movies, cook and play all sorts of video games.
